Traci Braxton, the sister of singer Toni, has died at the age of 50.
Traci had been battling cancer for a year but sadly passed away on Friday.
She appeared on her family's reality show Braxton Family Values and starred in TV shows Sinners Wanted and There's A Strange in my House.
Traci also followed in her sister's footsteps and record singe Last Call, that reached the Billboard Hot 100 top 20.
She also recorded a single with sisters Toni, Towanda and Trina called Broken Things.
Speaking to TMZ, Traci's husband said: "We have come to a time where we must inform the public that after a year of privately undergoing a series of treatment for Esophageal cancer our beloved Traci Braxton has gone on to glory."
The publication also reported that the late star passed away with her mother and sisters by her side.
Traci's son also confirmed the heartbreaking news with an emotional Instagram post.
Kevin Surratt Jr. shared a touching image of himself with his late mother, paying tribute to her in the moving caption.
"When I heard the news about my mother being sick first thing she said was I’m going to fight and beat this," he told his followers on Saturday.
He continued: "She fought to the end and today she’s at peace. I love my mother forever and this hurts so much but I’m at peace knowing she’s isn’t in pain anymore.
"I love you ma I’m going to miss you."
Diezel Braxton, Toni Braxton's son, told his cousin: "Love you kev. We gonna get through this."
Denim Braxton also commented underneath his cousin's heartbreaking update, telling him: "Love you Kev."
Others from outside the family also sent their condolences, with one writing: "I’m soooo sorry for your loss. She was the sweetest. I will keep you and your family lifted in prayer. RIP Tracy, you will be missed."
In 2018, Traci opened up about the secrets to her strong marriage with Kevin Surratt.
"As long as you have love, anything can heal. Anything is possible," the late star told theGrio’s Natasha Alford.
"I have a limit. We argue, we will say hurtful things, but we would come to each other and say, ‘I was wrong.'”
"All this foolery around here. All these diseases around here!” she joked.
"For me, personally I don’t want to start over."
In the same interview, Traci also spoke about her excitement about becoming a grandmother, as her son Kevin Jr. was expecting his first child at the time.
The singer and reality TV star gushed that she was 'ecstatic' at the thought of another child being welcomed into her family.
Traci's most recent musical work took place in September 2021, when she was featured on the song 'Stay with Me', performed by Candiace, taken from her album Deep Space.
Traci is survived by her husband, Kevin Surratt, and her son.
