One of the UK's most iconic childhood stores has officially returned with a brand new website just weeks ahead of the Christmas shopping dash.
Toys R Us, which closed its doors back in 2018, has made its grand return to the UK's online high-street by relaunching an online toy shop with thousands of products to wow families.
With a whopping 14,000 toys from 100 suppliers to choose from, the nostalgic toys retailer has arrived just as little ones will be thinking of their Christmas wish list.
The new online store is currently offering free delivery orders over £20 and next-day delivery on all orders placed before 6pm, reports The Sun.
Toys R us excitedly wrote on its website: "We're back! We can't wait to develop and grow with you and your loved ones, over the coming weeks, months and years!"
Families will be able to find a range of must-have toys for their festive wish-lists this year from a variety of big-name brands, including Lego, Marvel, Star Wars, Crayola and much more.
The website also allows you to search for products specific to your little ones age, with sections for children from 18 months all the way up until 11 plus.
Shoppers will also find the website features different areas for them to explore, including Pillars of Play - which showcases a selection of carefully curated toys that support child development across a wide range of ages and stages – and The Demo Zone, where toys are put through their paces.
It marks a return for one of the UK's most iconic toys retailer for the first time in four years after they closed the doors to their very last store back in 2018.
First launched in 1985, Toys R Us was a standard go-to place for many families in the build-up to Christmas before they closed all 100 UK branches following bankruptcy in 2017.
Toys R Us ANZ chief executive and managing director, Louis Mittoni said: "Toys R Us and Babies R Us are much-loved brands in the UK, and our teams have described this as ‘returning home’, not just a relaunch".
The retailer's highly anticipated comeback comes a year after its owner, WHP Global, signed an agreement with Toys R Us Australia to lead the companies UK revival this year.
WHP Global had previously acquired a controlling interest in Tru Kids, the parent company of the Toys 'R' Us and Babies 'R' Us brands.
The toys retailer has also confirmed that it is looking to officially return to the UK high-street with new physical stores similar to Argos, though it is unclear whether they will open any in Scotland.
