Toyota, one of the world's leading automotive manufacturers, has recently made the decision to halt the shipment of certain vehicle models due to certification issues. This move comes as a precautionary measure to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and to maintain the company's commitment to delivering safe and reliable vehicles to its customers.
The certification issues primarily revolve around the engines used in these vehicles. Toyota has identified that some engines manufactured by its subsidiary, Toyota Industries Corporation (TICO), did not receive the necessary certification from the Japanese Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. As a result, the affected vehicles, which include popular models such as the Corolla, Prius, and Lexus, will not be shipped until the certification matters are resolved.
