Tower Bridge was forced to close following a police incident, with a large emergency presence spotted near the landmark.
The famous bridge was shut on Friday afternoon as footage on social media showed several police boats beneath the bridge while two fire engines were spotted on top.
A number of double-decker buses could also be seen lined up on the bridge waiting to cross.
It is understood that the bridge was closed for around 30 minutes while the incident was dealt with.
The London Fire Brigade have been contacted for comment.
