ALTERED Edinburgh Hogmanay celebrations took place on December 31 as Scotland ushered in 2025.
Organisers Unique Assembly announced cancellations across the four-day programme due to adverse weather warnings, with all outdoor events cancelled.
This included the world-famous torchlight procession and Concert in the Gardens.
A number of tourists were left disappointed at the cancellation as they were left to find other ways to celebrate on Hogmanay.
Elisa Dorris, who is originally from Spain but now lives in Dublin, flew to Edinburgh with friends in order to see the fireworks.
“We are very disappointed, but we will try to have fun here in the Christmas market,” she said.
“We will try our best to have fun this night.”

"But when I look around now, I think the weather is fine, and I think the celebrations should resume."
Silvana Sgro, from Melbourne, said she and her family had looked at going back to London

Aussie DJ Tom Lowndes put together a special show with revellers heading to the Assembly Hall for a musical journey through the decades.
The New Year was ushered in with chants “no Scotland, no party,” organisers said.
Children and families also joined the celebrations with Bairns New Year Revels taking place on Tuesday afternoon with over 850 attending from all age groups.
Others attended the Candlelit Concert at St Giles’ Cathedral (above) in a sold-out event.
