A group of wild campers in Wales have left people in stitches after complaining about the amount of sheep near the campsite.
After visiting Mynydd Derwydd wild camping at Llanfihangel Glyn Myfyr, near Corwen, they were left unhappy with the early morning noise from the creatures.
The plot they are staying on was traditionally used as a sheep and Beef Hill Farm and makes clear there are still more than 1,200 sheep grazing the mountains near the farm.
That didn't stop one set of campers bleating on about the woolly animals, saying they were "surprised" to see them around their tent and had kept them up until about 1am, North Wales Live reports.
They were back up at 7.30am, with only six-and-a-half hours in the tank, and asked the owner Llŷr Jones: "We would really like to have a night of uninterrupted sleep and so hope there is a way to make sure the sheep are in a different field tonight."
Llŷr, who has ran the site for years without complaints, was unsure how to answer them and put their request out on social media.
One person suggested "'Wild Camping' may not be for them" and another to "Count them tonight to fall asleep".
A third added: "If I set up a tent in their back garden, would they like it if I complained at them about the noise they make?"
In the end Llŷr replied: "Scientific studies have proven that sheep are actually of huge benefit to people suffering from sleep deprivation and at Derwydd Wild Camping we like to place huge emphasis on people's well-being.
"Should this issue arise again tonight I suggest you open the tent and walk into the field and begin counting them."
Joking aside, the owner explained he was unable to move the sheep to another field but could relocate the campers to a field without them in it.
He explained: "They didn’t have a sense of humour as this afternoon they left.
"I’ve been doing it for a few years and we have had hundreds of people staying here. She’s the first to complain about the sheep so I’m not really bothered what she thinks."
