
Tour Down Under leader Sam Welsford has shown true grit, winning for the second-straight day despite losing some skin in a crash early on stage two.
The Paris Olympics track cycling gold medallist took charge after a perfect leadout from Red Bull Bora Hansgrohe teammate Danny van Poppel to win the 128.8km stage that started and finished at the Barossa Valley town of Tanunda on Wednesday.
