Tough Mudder is returning to Dumfriesshire for the first time since the start of the Covid pandemic.
And it aims to be bigger and better than before.
New and classic obstacles will be coming to Drumlanrig Castle, Thornhill on July 2 and 3 when participants of all ages and abilities will test their teamwork and determination across the weekend.
Managing director Matthew Brooke said: “I can’t wait for Tough Mudder to return to Scotland. I hope everyone is rallying up their crew members as we speak to give Drumlanrig Castle all they have got.
“We were heartbroken to not be allowed to open last year, so we promise to bring the true spirit of Tough Mudder back tenfold and enjoy it with you all.”
Located within easy travelling distance of Edinburgh, Glasgow and Stirling, the castle will welcome thousands of competitors from the Tough Mudder community to experience the beautiful gardens, wildlife and obstacles the event has to offer.
This year three events will take place. Participants can sign up for a popular Tough Mudder classic, the 5k course that is loaded with 13 of the world’s craziest obstacles, encouraging strangers to become teammates to work together to conquer the course.
For anyone who feels they can do more, organisers introduce a new Tough Mudder 10k which will contain 20 world-famous obstacles between the start and finish for you to tackle.
The Tough Mudder Classic is also back, it will contain 30 obstacles, with no competition and no timing, it is just going to be participants, team-mates and muddy strangers to work together on a challenge.
Children can also get involved with the 1 Mile Lidl Mudder Adventure.
