Over the last week, Prince William and Kate Middleton have been on their first joint overseas tour since 2020, heading to the Caribbean to visit Jamaica, The Bahamas and Belize to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.
Throughout the tour, the Duchess of Cambridge sported some truly stunning looks, including a sparkly hot pink number by The Vampire's Wife.
But it wasn't the only colourful outfit the 40-year-old wore during the week, with her wardrobe including lots of bright, bold hues - including yellow, blue, green and orange.
Following the tour, a stylist has claimed that Kate's colourful outfits might have been a nod to the Queen's own wardrobe ethos and praised her for the touching tribute.
Speaking to Femail, Hannah Eichler said: "Whether it's orange for optimism, blue for confidence, red for love or yellow for warmth, Kate has followed the Queen's cue by using colour to invoke powerful feelings of energy amongst herself and her subjects - a key tool when visiting new countries and engaging with those around her.
"Bright colours have long been favoured by the Royal family but no one has championed the look more so than the Queen herself.
"As a lover of colour herself, the Duchess has paid homage to the Queen during her tour this week, and while these colourful looks will no doubt get the royal nod of approval, they also make a statement about Kate's emotions, too."
The Queen is known for having a wardrobe boasting all the colours of the rainbow and is thought to dress to invoke powerful feelings and energy.
However, there is one big difference between the way the monarch and the Duchess of Cambridge dress in bright colours.
Her Majesty will often pair a matching colourful accessory with her outfits - this is most commonly a hat.
She is also known to have an umbrella to match all of her colourful coats for wet weather, should she need one.
But Hannah thinks that by forgoing colourful hats, Kate seems more "modern and relaxed" - do you agree? Let us know in the comments below.
