A beautiful memory garden where Olivia Pratt-Korbel's friends will be able to remember her has officially opened.
The new garden was created at St Margaret Mary's Catholic Junior School, where the nine-year-old attended before she was shot dead in her own Dovecot home in August 2022. The area, created by Pentagon Play, is a bespoke design including a four metre wide stage, some drum seats, and a rainbow bench.
The pupils at St Margaret Mary’s were asked to choose between several designs and chose Pentagon Play’s. The children were "very involved in the process".

The entrance to the space reads "Olivia’s Stage" and the area itself has an engraving which reads "Reaching out, hand in hand, together kindness shines", chosen by Olivia’s mother.
The space was opened to pupils on what would have been Olivia's 10th birthday, June 13. All guests were invited to wear pink in Olivia’s memory and unveil the new stage and seating area dedicated to the schoolgirl.
Two months after the tragic shooting in October 2022, the junior school decided they wanted to add a stage and seating space to their prospective development in memory of Olivia. The idea came to light as the nine-year-old loved singing and the children at the school really wanted to provide a stage space in her memory.
In the new garden, the children did performances including a song from "Matilda". Cheryl Korbel, Olivia's mum, also attended the grand opening.
