Tottenham vs Nottingham Forest LIVE
Tottenham’s survival bid suffered a considerable setback as they lost 2-0 at home to Nottingham Forest on Sunday afternoon. The clouds seemed to be parting for Spurs after they drew with Liverpool and beat Atletico Madrid in their last two outings, but they failed to rise to the occasion in this, a true relegation six-pointer.
Spurs came into the match level on points with Forest but now find themselves trailing by two, and only avoided dropping into the relegation zone as West Ham rolled over in simultaneous defeat by Aston Villa. Tudor’s side were on top for much of the first-half but failed to unsettle Matz Sels, and their profligate finishing was punished as Igor Jesus headed home on the stroke of half-time.
Two changes came at half-time and Tottenham seemed slightly improved, before Morgan Gibbs-White, who so nearly moved to north London last summer, tapped home to double Forest’s advantage. Taiwo Awoniyi then tapped home at the back post to put the visitors three goals in front, and secure all three points. Catch up with the action as it happened below with Standard Sport’s dedicated match blog.

Dom Smith at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
16:06 , Arthur FerridgeThey're teeming out now. It's a mass exodus here. An ugly defeat gets uglier on the scoreline. It's a near-thrashing now.
GOAL! Tottenham 0-3 Nottingham Forest | Awoniyi '87
16:04 , Arthur FerridgeThat does it! The result is beyond doubt. Another stunning cross from Williams finds Awoniyi at the back post and he makes no mistake. Absolute crisis for Spurs. Where, oh where, do they go from here?
Dom Smith at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
16:01 , Arthur FerridgeA loud reception for Gray as he comes off. Worked his socks off. But Spurs are facing a hugely damaging defeat here as we approach the final five minutes of normal time. Still all you can hear is the Forest chants.
Tottenham 0-2 Nottingham Forest
16:00 , Arthur Ferridge84mins: Archie Gray is hooked in favour of Conor Gallagher.
Tottenham 0-2 Nottingham Forest

Tottenham 0-2 Nottingham Forest
15:55 , Arthur Ferridge78mins: Corner 12 is headed tamely into Sels’ hands.
Tottenham 0-2 Nottingham Forest
15:54 , Arthur Ferridge77mins: One more Tottenham corner - I make this their eleventh - is met first by a Forest head. The ball makes its way to Sarr, whose first-time effort deflects wide for corner 12.
Tottenham 0-2 Nottingham Forest
15:52 , Arthur Ferridge75mins: That could have been the chance! Lovely whipped cross from Udogie is knocked wide by Bergvall.
Tottenham 0-2 Nottingham Forest
15:52 , Arthur Ferridge74mins: Spurs haven’t overly worried Sels for a little while. They are enjoying the vast majority of the ball but seem lacking for creativity or belief at the moment. Gray still the leading light.
Dom Smith at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
15:50 , Arthur FerridgeThere are fans starting to leave already from the home end. The Forest fans, meanwhile, are blasting out their favourite anthems loud and proud. Spurs not playing at all well.
Tottenham 0-2 Nottingham Forest
15:47 , Arthur Ferridge69mins: Tottenham have a free-kick dead centre, about 30 yards from goal. Porro chips it in to Danso, who cannot quite get his foot around it to shape a cross.
Yates and Awoniyi began getting ready to come on about ten minutes ago, and now they do so. Off come Hudson-Odoi and Igor Jesus.
Tottenham 0-2 Nottingham Forest
15:44 , Arthur Ferridge67mins: The only consolation for Tottenham today will be that West Ham’s two-goal deficit at Villa Park means they should stay out of the drop zone today.
Meanwhile, Tel and Richarlison are replaced by Kolo Muani and Xavi Simons.
Dom Smith at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
15:43 , Arthur FerridgeAn element of commentator’s curse from Dom Smith before the goal, there. He updates his punditry:
It's been really sloppy from Tottenham in the last few minutes and now they are punished again. Gibbs-White is completely and totally unmarked. Lots of errors and a real nervousness is creeping in as we enter the final half an hour. Spurs have a mountain to climb.
Tottenham 0-2 Nottingham Forest
15:42 , Arthur Ferridge65mins: Bad to worse for Spurs - Mathys Tel is limping now.
Tottenham 0-2 Nottingham Forest
15:41 , Arthur FerridgeSuch a simple goal for Forest. Hudson-Odoi got down to the byline and squared to Gibbs-White, who was totally unmarked in the middle and fired home past a helpless Vicario.
GOAL! Tottenham 0-2 Nottingham Forest | Gibbs-White '62
15:39 , Arthur FerridgeWho else but him? Gibbs-White doubles Spurs’ deficit!
Dom Smith at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
15:38 , Arthur FerridgeIt's really sloppy from Tottenham at the moment. Lots of errors and a real nervousness is creeping in as we enter the final half an hour.
Tottenham 0-1 Nottingham Forest
15:38 , Arthur Ferridge61mins: Yates is getting ready to come on for Forest, as is Awoniyi.
Tottenham 0-1 Nottingham Forest
15:37 , Arthur Ferridge60mins: Sangare outmuscles Romero, and the latter punches the turf in frustration.
Tottenham 0-1 Nottingham Forest
15:36 , Arthur Ferridge58mins: Forest’s turn to enjoy a spell on the ball, but some resolute Spurs defending has forced them back into their own half. This hasn’t been a bad performance at all from the hosts, but to state the obvious, they could do with a goal.
Tottenham 0-1 Nottingham Forest
15:32 , Arthur Ferridge55mins: Super cross from Bergvall goes begging and Spurs look to recycle via Udogie, but Gibbs-White intervenes to clear Forest’s lines. Spurs come again, though, as Gray shoots from range but goes over.
Dom Smith at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
15:31 , Arthur FerridgeSarcastic jeers as Spurs win a free-kick. Many fans feel Michael Oliver has had it in for them today. Not sure he has, but that's football.
Tottenham 0-1 Nottingham Forest
15:30 , Arthur Ferridge53mins: Sangare’s name is into the book after getting a little handsy in his pursuit of Romero.
Tottenham 0-1 Nottingham Forest
15:28 , Arthur Ferridge51mins: Make that nine fruitless corners. Pape Sarr goes through the back of Hutchinson needlessly as he attempts to clear.
Tottenham 0-1 Nottingham Forest
15:27 , Arthur Ferridge50mins: Eight Spurs corners bore no fruit in the first half, and they have their ninth on the cards here.
Tottenham 0-1 Nottingham Forest
15:27 , Arthur Ferridge50mins: That should have been Forest’s second! Anderson plays a superb ball into Williams, who is in acres of space at the back post, but his header is straight at Vicario and smartly parried.
Tottenham 0-1 Nottingham Forest
15:24 , Arthur Ferridge47mins: Honestly, Spurs are already looking better for those changes. Moving through Forest with ease.
2ND HALF: Tottenham 0-1 Nottingham Forest
15:22 , Arthur FerridgeBack underway! Let’s see what effect the Spurs changes have.
Spurs subs confirmed
15:19 , Arthur FerridgeUdogie and Bergvall replace Van de Ven and Spence.
Dom Smith at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
15:18 , Arthur FerridgeBergvall and Udogie are warming up at half-time here and preparing to come on. I think that surely means Gray is going off and Spurs are going to a back three.
Tudor rolls the dice
15:16 , Arthur FerridgeIgor Tudor is sending Destiny Udogie into the mix at half-time.
HALF-TIME: Tottenham 0-1 Nottingham Forest
15:06 , Arthur FerridgeThere’s the break. Spurs have had the better of the play, but find themselves trailing. Where do they go from here?
Tottenham 0-1 Nottingham Forest
15:05 , Arthur Ferridge45+3mins: VAR confirms the decision - no penalty!
Dom Smith at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
15:05 , Arthur FerridgeThat is a sensational header from Jesus but it's also the first time this afternoon that Spurs have not been switched on from a Forest cross. He is practically unmarked and plants his header in. A cruel blow for Spurs before the break.
Tottenham 0-1 Nottingham Forest
15:04 , Arthur Ferridge45+2mins: Its all happening! Tel rattles the crossbar before Romero goes down in the box. No goal, no penalty, but a great response from Spurs to going 1-0 down.
GOAL! Tottenham 0-1 Nottingham Forest | Jesus '45
15:03 , Arthur FerridgeSecond time lucky for Jesus! Forest take a surprise lead moments before the break as the Brazilian nods Williams’ corner home.
Tottenham 0-0 Nottingham Forest
15:02 , Arthur Ferridge45mins: HUGE SAVE! The corner is headed clear by Romero but falls to Anderson, who recycles and finds Jesus. The Brazilian’s acrobatic effort is tipped over by Vicario.
Tottenham 0-0 Nottingham Forest
15:01 , Arthur Ferridge44mins: Gibbs-White’s cross is blocked by Gray and goes out for a corner. Can the visitors nick something against the run of play before the break?
Dom Smith at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
15:00 , Arthur FerridgeA bit of a lull in the game as we approach half-time, with Spurs still yet to find a breakthrough. They have certainly been the brighter team but a cutting edge is still missing.
Tottenham 0-0 Nottingham Forest
14:59 , Arthur Ferridge42mins: The free-kick goes short to Hutchinson and, before too long, back to Anderson. Forest are promptly pushed back into their own half, try to attack once more and lose possession. Really wasteful given how few opportunities they’ve had here.
Tottenham 0-0 Nottingham Forest
14:58 , Arthur Ferridge41mins: Anderson tackles Gray brilliantly to set Forest on the counter, but the move ends as Spence catches Gibbs-White. The visitors will have a free-kick about 35 yards out.
Tottenham 0-0 Nottingham Forest
14:55 , Arthur Ferridge38mins: A free-kick finally goes the way of Forest and they seem content to take their time and slow the game down a bit. They’ve been struggling for the past few minutes and could really do with ending the first period on a positive note.
Tottenham 0-0 Nottingham Forest
14:51 , Arthur Ferridge33mins: Tel beats Milenkovic with a level of ease which will really concern Vitor Pereira. He wins a corner from Aina as he looks to cut it back.
That corner is cleared behind for a second, which in turn is cleared away. A further Spurs’ cross is nodded behind by Murillo and Forest remain under the cosh.
Dom Smith at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
14:48 , Arthur FerridgePalhinha is warming up now and you get the sense Gray could be off before too long, which would be such a shame for Spurs. But he was walking gingerly after that challenge from Sangare.
Tottenham 0-0 Nottingham Forest
14:48 , Arthur Ferridge31mins: A Spurs cross is deflected behind by Neco Williams, who is down in some pain. Appears that ball caught him in a sensitive area. Never nice to see.
He will take some sympathy from the hosts’ toothless set-piece, though they have rather fortunately won another corner.
Tottenham 0-0 Nottingham Forest
14:46 , Arthur Ferridge29mins: Spence slots Richarlison in behind and he fizzes a cross into the box - but it is just out of reach of Solanke’s outstretched leg! The offside flag is up against the Brazilian, anyway, but that is a positive sign.
Tottenham 0-0 Nottingham Forest
14:45 , Arthur Ferridge28mins: Porro thinks he has won a corner and remonstrates animatedly with the linesman when he raises his flag to indicate a goal-kick.
Dom Smith at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
14:43 , Arthur FerridgeArchie Gray has been excellent so far yet again. He takes so much responsibility upon himself.
Tottenham 0-0 Nottingham Forest
14:42 , Arthur Ferridge25mins: Archie Gray is still hobbling around after that tackle earlier on.
Spurs have another half-hearted penalty shout as Vand e Ven goes down softly under pressure from Aina. He looks to have picked up a knock, too, but is jogging it off.
Tottenham 0-0 Nottingham Forest
14:39 , Arthur Ferridge22mins: Gray and Tel are both back to their feet, and we are playing on.
Tottenham 0-0 Nottingham Forest
14:38 , Arthur Ferridge21mins: A couple of crunching tackles in quick succession leave Gray and Tel writhing in pain.
Tottenham 0-0 Nottingham Forest
14:37 , Arthur Ferridge20mins: Aina gets away with one as he appears to trip Sarr, but referee Michael Oliver waves the incident away!
Tottenham 0-0 Nottingham Forest
14:35 , Arthur Ferridge18mins: Hutchinson, another ex-Chelsea lad, cuts in off the right flank and fires tamely into the hands of Vicario, who does not seem to be letting his hernia bother him too much.
Tottenham 0-0 Nottingham Forest
14:33 , Arthur Ferridge16mins: Danso’s long throw is nodded on to the far post, but no Spurs forward can quite direct it over the line!
You get the distinct feeling an opener is coming...
Tottenham 0-0 Nottingham Forest
14:32 , Arthur Ferridge15mins: Good news for fans of both Spurs and Forest. John McGinn has put Aston Villa 1-0 up against West Ham!
Tottenham 0-0 Nottingham Forest
14:31 , Arthur Ferridge14mins: Spurs’ corner is nodded behind by Milenkovic, and they will get another go at it.
The follow-up falls to Richarlison, whose shot is over.
Tottenham 0-0 Nottingham Forest
14:30 , Arthur Ferridge13mins: That could have been the opener! Gray pings a lovely cross-field ball to Tel, who sends Aina to the floor with a fake shot before his eventual effort is deflected wide.
Dom Smith at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
14:29 , Arthur FerridgeAn energetic start from Tottenham, who are being cheered on loudly by their expectant but anxious fans here. It's nervy whenever a Spurs player makes a mistake or looks about to lose the ball. Very tense.
Tottenham 0-0 Nottingham Forest
14:28 , Arthur Ferridge11mins: Hudson-Odoi is looking lively early on. Being a Chelsea academy product, you bet he’d love to be the man to send Spurs into the drop zone today.
Tottenham 0-0 Nottingham Forest
14:27 , Arthur Ferridge10mins: Igor Jesus deals with the corner. Routine stuff for the Brazilian.
Tottenham 0-0 Nottingham Forest
14:26 , Arthur Ferridge9mins: A nice break forward from Spurs amounts to little as Milenkovic easily dispossesses Solanke. That gives the hosts a throw in, after which they are promptly forced back into their own half.
They come again, though, and Spence’s cross is nodded behind by Aina for a corner.
Tottenham 0-0 Nottingham Forest
14:23 , Arthur Ferridge7mins: Hudson-Odoi plays Anderson into the area with a lovely chipped pass, and the Forest midfielder goes to ground after appearing to have been tripped by Danso. ‘No penalty’ says Michael Oliver, and the VAR check clears.
Tottenham 0-0 Nottingham Forest
14:22 , Arthur Ferridge5mins: Hasn’t been a bad start for Forest at all, here. So much for that formidable Hotspur Stadium atmosphere. They’ve been on the front foot from the off - Spurs can hardly get out!
Tottenham 0-0 Nottingham Forest
14:20 , Arthur Ferridge3mins: Not a bad early chance for Forest as Gibbs-White gets a dangerous cross into the box aimed at Jesus, but Danso gets there first.
Dom Smith at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
14:18 , Arthur FerridgeVan de Ven is left-back, which I'm really surprised about. For Tudor's sake, it had better work...
KICK-OFF! Tottenham 0-0 Nottingham Forest
14:17 , Arthur FerridgeWe’re off! Tottenham are in their traditional white shirts and navy shorts, and Forest in red tops and white shorts.
Feels like this is all coming together for Spurs to have a great afternoon in the sun. But can they see it out?
The players are out...
14:14 , Arthur FerridgeWe’ll be underway momentarily.
Dom Smith at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
14:11 , Arthur FerridgeA real atmosphere is building here ahead of an absolutely huge game for Tottenham, Europa League winners eight months ago but well and truly in a relegation dog fight now. They can ease the pressure on themselves hugely if they win this relegation six-pointer.
Team news reminder
14:05 , Arthur FerridgeJust ten short minutes till we get underway. Here’s a reminder of how the teams will line up this afternoon.

Nottingham Forest XI: Sels, Aina, Milenkovic, Murillo, Sangare, Anderson, Gibbs-White, Hudson-Odoi, Jesus, Hutchinson

Xavi Simons
13:49 , Arthur FerridgeIt is something of a surprise to see Xavi Simons benched after he scored a brace against Atletico in midweek.
Perhaps Tudor will be considering a super-sub role for the youngster, who has found consistent form hard to come by this campaign.

Dom Smith at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
13:48 , Arthur FerridgeWhat’s on the line this afternoon? Allow Standard Sports’ Dom Smith to explain.

Around the grounds
13:42 , Arthur FerridgeAnother important relegation battle clash will take place simultaneously with this one, as West Ham visit Aston Villa. A win there would likely lift the Irons out of the relegation zone.
Later in the evening, Standard Sport will bring you comprehensive coverage of the Carabao Cup final between Arsenal and Manchester City, with kick-off at Wembley pencilled in for 4.30.
Igor Tudor grateful for show of support
13:35 , Arthur Ferridge“After the game [vs Atletico], there was a beautiful sensation, feeling of togetherness with the fans. Very rare.
“I felt this enjoyment, I enjoyed feeling the sensation that we are doing good on the pitch, but together with them, together with the fans. That was really nice, rare.
“We need to continue all together this, if we can say, small positive moment after two games where we can recognise small but important things for the squad.
“Yeah, there is a positivity, but also understanding the game [vs Forest], it is not easy. So, important game, but probably it will not decide anything after the game, independent of the results. We just need to keep going on what we did in the last two games.”
Fan reaction: 'Absolutely unreal'
13:33 , Arthur FerridgeThis is absolutely unreal. Should be like this every home game from now until the end of the season. #thfc https://t.co/PpV9COXFEp

Forest team news
13:16 , Arthur FerridgeAfter rotating heavily for a midweek Europa League tie, Vitor Pereira unsurprisingly names a strong squad here.

All five played 40 minutes or more on Thursday, but were spared the full 120 against Midtjylland.
Tottenham team news

Vicario starts between the sticks despite being booked to undergo a hernia operation next week.

Big match preview: Can Archie Gray inspire Spurs in relegation battle?
12:20 , Arthur FerridgeAs squad building goes, Tottenham have not exactly put on a masterclass in recent seasons, writes Standard Sport’s Matt Verri.
Harry Kane and Heung-min Son left without adequate replacements. There has been too much trust placed in young players and the idea of potential, and the so-called leadership group offers next to nothing to justify that title.
With Cristian Romero's diary primarily filled by serving suspensions and taking aim at the club's hierarchy on social media, Spurs have had to look elsewhere for their leaders.
Archie Gray, who only turned 20 this month, has stepped up significantly in recent weeks to try and drag Spurs out of their dire situation.
This afternoon's home match against Nottingham Forest is the biggest game of the season so far, with just a point separating the two sides in the fight to stay in the top flight.

Standard Sport prediction
12:12 , Arthur FerridgeSpurs will be fine this season if they play like they did against Atletico but Forest are tricky customers, as Manchester City found out.
It really does depend on which Spurs side turns up and whether they will be able to channel that European fight into domestic competition.
They are going to need to - with their top-flight status at stake - but will they?
Tottenham to win, 2-1.
Nottingham Forest early team news
12:05 , Arthur FerridgeForest needed extra-time and penalties to see off FC Midtjylland in the Europa League on Thursday.
Callum Hudson-Odoi was missing for that match and Vitor Pereira clearly had one eye on Spurs as he made nine changes.
