Carabao Cup third round draw LIVE
A number of Premier League sides will find out their third-round Carabao Cup opponents this evening as the draw takes place. It follows a packed night of action up and down the country, which saw Tottenham ease past Charlton, with Savio scoring on debut, while Thierno Barry earned a hat-trick as Everton faced Preston. Newcastle produced a nervous display as they edged West Bromwich Albion 3-2 at St James’ Park thanks to a late winner from Harvey Barnes.
There was a wealth of action on Tuesday night, too, as West Ham produced a fine display to sink Southampton and Brentford hit Birmingham City for six. Hull City, though needed penlaties to sneak past Hull as Ipswich and Coventry got their own business done in normal time.
Those Premier League teams who are competing in Europe will all enter the draw for the third round, meaning Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool, Crystal Palace and more will all be involved here. As Premier League sides competing in Europe cannot face one another in the third round, they were drawn first and assigned either a home or an away fixture, with their opponents to be confirmed in the main draw.

Tottenham new boy Savio scored on his debut in a sparkling cameo display to help inspire a 5-1 thrashing of Charlton in the Carabao Cup.
Spurs completed the £85million signing of Savio from Manchester City on Tuesday to bring a lengthy pursuit to a satisfactory conclusion and the 22-year-old quickly made himself a hit with his new fans.
Savio was introduced in the 71st minute and got off the mark for his new club with 82 minutes on the clock with a fizzing low effort into the bottom corner.
The Brazil forward wheeled off to celebrate a brace three minutes later, but Ben Davies eventually claimed the fifth goal after he got the final touch.
