Tottenham Hotspur have ben told that just two more signings are all Antonio Conte needs to turn them into serious title contenders.
Spurs have come flying out of the blocks in this year’s summer transfer window, backing the Italian with three new signings already. Spurs moved quickly to snap up Ivan Perisic and Fraser Forster on free transfers following the end of the season, before £30 million was splashed out on Yves Bissouma from Brighton last week.
And as a result, former Wales striker Dean Saunders believes that Spurs can now position themselves as challengers to Manchester City and Liverpool in 2022-23. Speaking on talkSPORT, Saunders said: “He’s gone in there, got the running stats up, and they’ve got ready-made pros there who have now got the bit between their teeth. He’s made two good signings from the club he was at in the past and they’ve both played well.
