It was written in a smile as wide as the Tyne Bridge. Anything you can do I can too!
Newcastle's laughing cavalier Miggy Almiron, the hottest ticket in town, scored his sixth goal in 12 Premier League matches to win a sensational match at previously unstoppable Spurs. Callum Wilson, normally United's top finisher, had opened the scoring with a terrific swivel and finish to push closer to Almiron's total before Miggy displayed his flair by whipping the ball low into the far corner of a bemused Hugo Loris's net.
Having secured a two-goal lead United's defence then came up with their own message to a disbelieving world: what we do regularly we can keep doing. The meanest defence in the Premier League were never going to surrender that record or sacrifice a two goal advantage even when, Harry Kane wasted in this Tottenham side, pulled one back just eight minutes into the second-half.

And so it came to pass: United finished up fourth top of the most competitive division in the world and celebrated in front of their delirious and drenched fans penned in a corner of north London.
Well done Callum. Well done Miggy. Well done defenders. Well done everyone especially Bruno for whom it was the most wondrous of weekends. New dad, new heady heights.
Tottenham have been accused of being flat track bullies and maybe upon closer examination their awesome 10-match winning home run in all competitions supported such a theory.
Only Arsenal who Spurs beat at the end of last season four days before Newcastle did likewise are a blue chip Premier League name on a dance card otherwise featuring the likes of Everton, Leicester twice, Fulham, Wolves, Southampton and Burnley who were subsequently relegated.
United provided opposition a step up on that quality and my did it show. The goalscorers are the obvious headline stealers but there were so many willing souls in what is a real footballing side.
All the back four and the keeper are top drawer while the unheralded Sean Longstaff beavers away doing the dirty-knees work every good side needs, no more so than when intervening smartly to pick up a wasteful kick by Loris on what proved to be the winner and supply Almiron.
Joelinton is built like Anthony Joshua but carries more physical aggression and Guimaraes is, well, just Bruno. An iron fist in a velvet glove. A mixture of power and sublime touch.
While United's defence holds the record, only 10 goals conceded all season, United actually defend as a team right away from the front. Just as they attack as a team starting at the back. This is what all good sides do and what Eddie Howe has them doing.
Newcastle now face up to three Premier League games before the enforced break for the World Cup, Aston Villa at home, Southampton away, and Chelsea home. Add in a league cup tie with Crystal Palace and it becomes three matches at SJP where United are unbeaten. The challenge is there to go into closedown in a blaze of glory.
