Tottenham Hotspur boss Antonio Conte has named his final starting XI of the pre-season to take on Jose Mourinho's Roma in Israel.
Conte has selected a Tottenham side that will have many thinking it's as close the one he wants to start against Southampton next weekend in the Premier League opener as possible, in order for those players to have the maximum fitness and rhythm of playing together.
Japhet Tanganga misses out with a sickness bug, which is not understood to be Covid-related, but Ben Davies is back on the bench following his ankle injury in Korea. Oliver Skipp remains out of Spurs' team following a foot injury that required switches after a challenge in training last Friday ahead of the Rangers friendly but the young midfielder is expected to be back in contention for the Saints match.

Joe Rodon has been left at home so he can tie up a loan move to Rennes, who will have an option to buy the Welsh centre-back with a medical expected to take place this weekend. Tanguy Ndombele, Giovani Lo Celso, Harry Winks and Sergio Reguilon are back at Hotspur Way after being told they are not in Conte's plans for this coming season.
Davinson Sanchez is given the nod again with Conte deciding Davies is not ready to start again yet. Matt Doherty starts at right wing-back for the first time in pre-season while there are first starts for summer signings Ivan Perisic and Yves Bissouma at left wing-back and in central midfield respectively.
Here is the team Conte has selected to face Roma:
Lloris; Romero, Dier, Sanchez; Doherty, Bissouma, Hojbjerg, Perisic; Kulusevski, Kane, Son
Subs: Forster, Austin, Lenglet, Davies, Emerson, Spence, Sessegnon, Bentancur, White, Sarr, Lucas, Richarlison, Gil.
