Tottenham star Heung-min Son snubbed again as PFA Players’ Player of the Year nominees announced

Tottenham star Heung-min Son has again been snubbed for a high-profile player of the year after the PFA Players' Player nominees were announced.

Son enjoyed his most productive season in England with 23 goals to share the Golden Boot with Liverpool's Mohamed Salah, who is nominated and among the favourites to win the award.

As with the PFA Fans' Player of the Year award, the Spurs forward misses out, with only Kevin De Bruyne the only crossover with the players' vote.

Son became the first Asian player to win the Golden Boot award and flew back to South Korea shortly after the season finished to show off the trophy to fans. Son called the achievement a “dream” for him.

Earlier in the season, Son and Kane broke the Premier League record for the most combination goals. Kane is among the nominees, along with two further Liverpool players, De Bruyne and Cristiano Ronaldo.
