Tottenham stance on Ousmane Dembele transfer revealed as reports of late Spurs move emerge

There is no chance of Tottenham Hotspur making a late move for Barcelona attacker Ousmane Dembele, football.london understands.

Barcelona have been keen to move on the 24-year-old Frenchman, particularly to free up the finances for their planned move for Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Tottenham and Chelsea have both been linked with a dramatic late move for Dembele ahead of the Monday's transfer deadline.

However, football.london understands that while he was offered to the north London club, Spurs have no interest in bringing the France international to north London at this stage.

Dembele has struggled with injuries in recent seasons and has started just four La Liga matches for Barcelona during this campaign after knee and hamstring problems.

Spurs have been busy on transfer deadline day with two new signings and a string of departures.

Antonio Conte has had Juventus midfield duo Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski, the latter on loan, added to his squad.

Heading out the door has been Tanguy Ndombele to Lyon, Giovani Lo Celso to Villarreal and Bryan Gil to Valencia, all on loan.

Dele Alli is expected to sell a permanent move to Everton before the 11pm deadline.

The 25-year-old is set to join the Toffees to play under their new manager Frank Lampard on an initial free transfer, but with conditions that include a £10m fee if he plays 20 matches for the Merseyside club and in all, if certain conditions are met, the total Spurs could recoup would be almost £40m.
