Tottenham fans have had to be patient in the January transfer market, but moves are finally starting to be made towards the end of the window. The first signing was announced earlier this week as Arnaut Danjuma joined on loan for the remainder of the season from Villarreal, with a buy option included.
It helps bolster the quality in depth for the Lilywhites as they approach the latter half of the season, but a second addition appears close too. That being the signing of Pedro Porro from Sporting CP, with reports claiming that a deal is nearing to completion for Antonio Conte's dream wing-back.
The work behind the scenes doesn't stop there though as there's still some clear priorities that need to be addressed when it comes to transfer business. With that said, here's a look at what should be next for Spurs in the coming week and beyond.

Defender addition
The Tottenham defence has been leaky at best over the past few weeks and there is a clear need to stop the flow of goals against them. As a result, quality at centre-back is needed, with depth no longer a problem after some additions over the previous summer transfer window.
The form of Eric Dier, Ben Davies and Clement Lenglet has been hit and miss while Cristian Romero has shown quality but missed some key games. If the side are able to add quality at the back in the remaining few days of January, then that must be the aim for the recruitment team.
Potential exits
The squad may need some players shifted before the end of the January window, whether that's for the finances or for their development. One of those that fits into the latter is Djed Spence as football.london understands the club are willing to let the youngster leave on loan this month, but not with a buy option included.
Antonio Conte future
One of the key decisions that has to be decided sooner rather than later is the future of head coach Antonio Conte, who is nearing the final few months of his contract. While many will have opinions as to whether he should stay or leave, the overarching issue is that the club's strategy should have a clear idea as to what it is building towards.
With uncertainty over the tenure of Conte, it makes the rest of the planning, transfers or otherwise, extremely difficult the longer the saga draws out.
Harry Kane contract
The question of whether Tottenham should extend the stay of Harry Kane is less complicated and it's clear the club should try and tie down a player that continues to smash records. With his contract nearing the end too, convincing the forward that there's a project to build upon is a major priority.
In Kane, the club have a world class goal scorer and playmaker mixed in one and building the side around him is an imperative.
