What a summer it has been for Tottenham. After finishing fourth last season and securing Champions League football for the 2022/23 campaign, it was time for the work to begin.
Antonio Conte has been working his players hard during pre-season and they won two, drew one and lost one of their five pre-season friendlies. Spurs won their first game of the season against Southampton, taking them top of the Premier League.
Off the pitch, plenty of transfer business has been going on and with three weeks left of the window, there are still more deals to get over the line. Conte needed new additions to his squad, to add quality in the depth of the team.

This is exactly what Tottenham have done so far. Spurs have welcomed Ivan Perisic, Fraser Forster, Yves Bissouma, Richarlison, Clement Lenglet and Djed Spence to N17.
The six players add a mixture of ages and quality to the team, with Perisic coming with experience and silverware and Spence trying to make a break through in the Premier League. Destiny Udogie looks set to become the Lilywhites' seventh signing of the summer and although he will be loaned back to Udinese for he rest of the season, the Italian is another bright spark for the future.
Tottenham have also seen a number of outoings this summer. Steven Bergwijn followed Cameron Carter-Vickers in Spurs' permanent outgoings, with Jack Clarke and Kion Etete also making a move away from N17.
A number of players have also gone out on loan, as they look to continue their development and get regular game time. This will be the hopes of Troy Parrott, Dane Scarlett and Joe Rodon, who have made the temporary moves to Preston North End, Portsmouth and Rennes, respectively.
A few more weeks for more deals to be completed, as Conte looks to get his second win of the season on Sunday, at Stamford Bridge.
