Tottenham predicted team vs Middlesbrough: Conte makes three changes as Steven Bergwijn returns

Antonio Conte must decide whether to stick with a winning Tottenham team or freshen it up for the FA Cup fifth round tie at Middlesbrough.

The last time the Italian stuck with a winning Tottenham starting line-up, following the impressive 3-2 win at Manchester City, it resulted in the disappointing 1-0 defeat at Burnley.

Conte made two changes for the next match and Spurs subsequently won 4-0 at Elland Road against Leeds United.

In particular, wing-backs Ryan Sessegnon and Matt Doherty both impressed and the duo could constitute one of the head coach's biggest decisions over whether to interrupt their momentum.

Spurs' next Premier League match is not until next Monday against Everton, six days after the cup tie, which means plenty of rest time for those who play, but Conte may consider that some who have played a lot in recent days, such as Sessegnon could need a break now.

Rodrigo Bentancur is expected to return for the Everton match following his ankle injury, while Oliver Skipp is set to return to training next week after his groin problems.

Lucas Moura (dead leg) and Japhet Tanganga (knee) will also miss the FA Cup tie, but Pierluigi Gollini is back in contention after missing a couple of matches with illness.

Conte could decide to give minutes to players like Steven Bergwijn, Davinson Sanchez, Sergio Reguilon, Emerson Royal and Joe Rodon, depending on how much he wants to change up the side in a competition he wants to win again.

This might be a game to rest one of either Son Heung-min or Harry Kane in, so he does not run his two star attackers into the ground.

Here is the Tottenham team we reckon Conte might select:

(3-4-3) Lloris; Sanchez, Dier, Davies; Doherty, Winks, Hojbjerg, Reguilon; Kulusevski, Kane, Bergwijn.
