Tottenham predicted team vs Everton: Conte makes four key changes and formation switch

Antonio Conte continues to work out the best way to navigate Tottenham's packed fixture schedule in the Premier League, Champions League and Carabao Cup.

It's a juggling act this weekend for Conte as he has to balance his players' fitness for both the home game against Everton on Saturday and then Spurs' trip to Old Trafford next Wednesday. The Italian needs to make some changes with just two days between the Champions League win against Frankfurt and the visit of Frank Lampard's side.

The rotation of Clement Lenglet and Ben Davies could well continue on the left of the back three while Conte has to decide when is the right time to bring in Davinson Sanchez for either Cristian Romero or Eric Dier. He admitted to football.london on Friday that it is difficult to rest Dier because his role is so specific.

Emerson Royal's suspension means either Matt Doherty or Ivan Perisic comes in on the right. Ryan Sessegnon has impressed in back-to-back starts but his hamstring problems of the past mean Conte might be wary of making him play three games in seven days on the left. Conte also praised the improvement of Djed Spence in recent training sessions which suggests he could get some minutes in the games ahead.

The Spurs boss must then decide between either rotating one of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg or Rodrigo Bentancur or adding Yves Bissouma or Oliver Skipp to ease their workload in a midfield three.

Dejan Kulusevski is not available after a knock in training on Thursday after recovering from his hamstring injury, while Lucas Moura has also just returned this week. Conte mentioned that Richarlison had a little knee problem against Frankfurt so a 3-5-2 might suit Spurs for this game.

Here is the team we reckon Conte might go with against the Toffees:

3-5-2: Lloris; Romero, Dier, Davies; Doherty, Hojbjerg, Bissouma, Bentancur, Perisic; Kane, Son.
