Tottenham lost ground in the race for the top four as they were held to a goalless draw at Brentford.
Just as they had done against Brighton last weekend, Tottenham made a sloppy start and should have been behind at the break.
Twice Ivan Toney saw a volley blocked from a corner, those efforts coming either side of a header sent onto the crossbar.
Brentford continued to be the more dangerous side after the break as Harry Kane was forced to clear a Pontus Jansson header off the line.
Spurs tried to rally with some late pressure but never looked like scoring.
Here is how Jack Rosser rated Tottenham…
Hugo Lloris 6
A couple of smart saves to deny former teammate Christian Eriksen.
Cristian Romero 6
Fought well with Toney but far from the best display since his arrival last summer.
Eric Dier 6
Kept a clean sheet but Spurs were hardly solid throughout. A better forward line would have punished them.
Ben Davies 6
Desperately tried to rally Spurs time and again and pick up the pace from the back but to no avail.
Emerson Royal 5
Too easily beaten by Toney at set pieces and offered little in the final third.
Rodrigo Bentancur 5
Blocked a couple of efforts from Toney in the first half but poor in possession.
Sloppy and slow on the ball, struggled to gain any kind of consistent control of the game.
Ryan Sessegnon 5
Tried to get forward but offered little down the left and struggled with Byran Mbuemo.
Dejan Kulusevski 6
Tried to create chances late on and gave the Brentford defence something to think about.
Constantly found himself running into red and white shirts and could not find an answer.
Harry Kane 6
More notable for his work at the back, heading a Pontus Jansson effort off the line, than anything going forward. Starved of service.
