Tottenham player ratings: Steven Bergwijn delivers dramatic double, big Hojbjerg and Kane impact

Hugo Lloris

Should have done better with Daka's first half goal, only helping it in with his hand. Just after the half hour mark he made an excellent flying save to tip away Maddison's shot as it was curling inside the right-hand post. Pushed out a swerving Maddison shot before the hour mark. 6

Japhet Tanganga

More shaky moments and some sloppy passing. Had a shot that Schmeichel had to parry out at the other end. Got a foot to Maddison's shot but only helped bounce the ball over Lloris' dive and into the net. 5

Davinson Sanchez

Sent a header into the side-netting in the first half and had defended well until he lost Maddison for Leicester's second goal. 6

Ben Davies

Played his part in the struggles for Leicester's opener but dealt with much of what came down the left. 6

Emerson Royal

Struggled to make any impact in the first half and found himself taken off at half-time. 4

Oliver Skipp

A bustling presence and it was his interception that led to Kane's equaliser. Needs to improve his quality in the final third to make the full use of his bursts forward with and without the ball. 7

Harry Winks

Great ball over the top to grab an assist for Kane's first half equaliser. Another strong performance and in front of England boss Gareth Southgate. 7

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg

Worked hard in the centre of the pitch with a midfield trio that dominated for long periods of the contest. Made a great block in his own box to deny Barnes late on. Then he was crucial in the final moments, first playing a great ball to Doherty in the build-up to Spurs' second and then intercepting the ball to start the move for the winner. 9

Sergio Reguilon

Some early attacking forays forward before making a tackle that unfortunately sent the ball back to Daka in the box to gift the Foxes attacker the chance to score the opening goal. Not enough quality with his end product on the day. 5

Lucas Moura

Forced Schmeichel into a flying save on 22 minutes with a run and shot. Put Kane away for what should have been Spurs' second goal soon after their equaliser. Very quiet otherwise. 5

Harry Kane

Great work nine minutes in to turn inside and beat a couple of defenders before firing a shot across goal that was cleared off the line by Thomas. Thudded the crossbar with a header from a corner on 18 minutes, although he would have expected to get on target as he was unmarked. He scored his 18th goal in 17 games against Leicester on 38 minutes, turning inside and firing home off the post. Moments later he should have doubled his tally but blazed over when put through by Lucas. Sprinted back to help the defence on a couple of occasions and he was knackered as the second half wore on. So good on the night but also so wasteful. However he made up for it in the final moments, sending Bergwijn through for the winner. 8

Subs

Matt Doherty

Came on for the second half and immediately made more of an impact with a couple of threatening runs down the right. Had a couple of decent chances to score, one low effort with his left foot that flew wide and an effort from very close range that Schmeichel smothered. Played his part in the second Spurs goal with a great run only to be tackled in the box. Wasn't perfect but he was more of a threat than the other wing-backs. 7

Giovani Lo Celso

Brought on for Winks but didn't have as much of an impact as the other subs. 5

Steven Bergwijn

Came on for Reguilon in the final stages and was the dramatic match winner. First he followed up Doherty's blocked run with a powerful shot to level the score and then just 79 seconds later he rounded Schmeichel before producing a superb finish from a tight angle to win the game for Tottenham. 9
