Hugo Lloris
Another poor day with his feet despite doing plenty of kicking drills in the warm-up before the game. A couple of sliced kicks when trying to make clearances although he didn't have much to do with his hands until a good save to deny Knauff five minutes into the second half. Put Romero into a problematic position with an iffy pass not long after. 5
Cristian Romero
Looked more like his old self at times with some tough challenges and steaming up the pitch to join in with attacks. 7
Eric Dier
Seemed to take an early knock but played a great ball over the top into the path of Emerson who volleyed over. Didn't do much wrong. 7

Clement Lenglet
Dealt with much that came his way and got on the pitch into some good positions before a yellow card made some of his subsequent tackles a bit nervy and he was taken off for Davies. 7
Emerson Royal
Volleyed over early on after making a good run on to Dier's pass. Quieter in the second half after some forays forward in the first. 6
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg
Some loose passes but he tried to be the driving force in the midfield with his running up and down the pitch. Worked hard throughout. 7
Rodrigo Bentancur
A quieter game than normal but he rarely lost the ball in possession. 7
Ivan Perisic
Sent a deflected shot spinning just wide of the Frankfurt goal in the first half. A quiet game on the whole for the Croatian and he was replaced by Sessegnon after 70 minutes. 6
Richarlison
A slow start to the match but he got better as it wore on linking well with Son and Emerson on a couple of occasions and putting them through into dangerous positions in the box. Less effective though in the second half. 5
Harry Kane
Had a couple of half chances in the first half hour before driving a low shot wide of the left-hand post. Lacked quality in the second half though with some of his play and picked up a yellow card for a coming together on the floor. 5
Son Heung-min
Curled a great ball into the box on 12 minutes which neither Romero nor Kane could head home. Then fired another low cross that Kane couldn't connect with properly in the six yard box. Was Spurs' liveliest attacker for much of the game but his touch let him down on some key occasions. 6
Subs
Ryan Sessegnon
Came on and caused problems with his first touch, a cross into the Frankfurt box. Defended well in some late moments. A solid showing from the bench. 6
Ben Davies
Back in action and he slotted into the left-hand side of the defence in the final 10 minutes solidly enough. 5
Bryan Gil
Some nice touches, in particular chasing across the pitch next to his own box, but he was lacking quality in attack and was knocked off the ball too many times. 4
