Tottenham will be without both Destiny Udogie and Pedro Porro for Saturday’s visit of Wolves, manager Ange Postecoglou has confirmed.
The two full-backs have been key to Spurs’ tactical approach under Postecoglou. It is hoped both will be available for the visit of Crystal Palace in early March.
Emerson Royal is primed to replace Porro at right-back, while Ben Davies could line up on the left flank.
Postecoglou also revealed that a fracture in Fraser Forster’s foot will keep him out for “about two months.”
Speaking on Friday, Postecoglou said: “We’ve had a couple of setbacks this week. Destiny picked up a little bit of a knock last week and he’s not available for tomorrow.
“I don’t think it’s anything serious ... he should be back [to face Crystal Palace]. Pedro picked up a strain in training. Hopefully a couple of weeks for him.
“The major one is Fraser Forster. He’s got a bit of a fracture in his foot, so he’ll miss about two months.”
Ryan Sessegnon is still out with a hamstring injury, but Postecoglou gave a promising update on his recovery.
“He’s back training, which is the first thing”, the Aussie said. “Now he’s got to put a body of work together in training and we’ll go from there.
“This is the first week we’ve had with him. So far, this week, he’s trained well, done everything he’s been asked of, and hopefully that continues.”
