New favourite for the job

The 41-year-old is currently in charge at Bayer Leverkusen and has lead the Bundesliga side to an impressive season after a slow start.

According to De Telegraaf, Alonso is now the frontrunner to replace Antonio Conte as the permanent manager at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium.
