Here is your Tottenham Hotspur morning round-up on Monday, 15 May 2023.
Richarlison blasted
Tony Cascarino has branded Richarlison the 'worst player' in the Premier League this season after another poor display in Tottenham Hotspur's defeat at Aston Villa on Saturday.
Spurs spent big money to prise the Brazilian from Everton last summer but he has failed to live up to that price tag. Richarlison has netted just once in the league with only two matches of the season remaining in what has been a terrible campaign for the North London side.

Spurs told Kane replacement
Tottenham have been linked with a whole host of strikers as a contingency plan for life after Harry Kane at the club, with the England international team captain nearing the end of his contract. With just 12-months remaining on his deal, Kane's future remains uncertain as he has been linked with a move to Manchester United, PSG and Bayern Munich.
Chairman Daniel Levy will be hopeful that the 29-year-old could sign a new agreement with the club, also claiming in a recent interview that he should have a statue outside the stadium one day.

Bissouma return
Tottenham's European aspirations took a severe blow on Saturday afternoon as they fell to a 2-1 defeat away at fellow European contenders Aston Villa. Just not getting going at all in the first half at Villa Park as the hosts took a 1-0 lead into the break courtesy of Jacob Ramsey's eighth-minute strike, Spurs, as they have been over the course of the season, were much better in the second half.
Despite creating some good openings, most notably Harry Kane's chance on goal shortly after the interval, it was Villa who scored the crucial second goal of the contest as Douglas Luiz found the net from a free-kick. Pulling one back on 90 minutes as Kane converted from the penalty spot, the striker's 27th league goal of the campaign proved scant consolation.
A day with very few positives for Tottenham, one plus acting head coach Ryan Mason could take from the game was the return to action of Yves Bissouma.
