Thomas Muller breaks silence on Harry Kane transfer
Thomas Muller has remained coy when asked about the prospect of Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane joining Bayern Munich during the summer transfer window. Kane is into the final 12 months of his current contract with Spurs, meaning he would be available on a free transfer next summer if fresh terms aren't agreed with the north Londoners before then.
Bayern are one of many teams that have been linked in recent times, with the Bundesliga champions seeing an initial offer of £60 million turned down by the Lilywhites last week. But Bayern star Muller has played down talk of a possible move, telling German outlet Bild: "I've actually told myself that as long as something is not done, it's not worth talking about."
When asked if he liked Kane, the 33-year-old added: "I don't know anyone that doesn't like him." Tottenham's new manager Ange Postecoglou will have a big conversation with Kane when the England captain returns to pre-season training on July 12 following his holiday.

Micky van de Ven is perfect for Ange Postecoglou
Tottenham Hotspur are working on securing a deal for either Bayer Leverkusen’s Edmond Tapsoba or VfL Wolfsburg ace Micky van de Ven, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has revealed. The pair have both been identified by Ange Postecoglou as ideal choices, but the former Celtic boss will only form a proposal for one of them, Romano claims.
Needing to bring in a couple of centre-backs and also move a handful on as part of the much-needed changes taking place under Postecoglou, Spurs have a strong interest in Micky van de Ven from Wolfsburg. Joining the Bundesliga side from Volendam two years ago, the 22-year-old has earned rave reviews in Germany and has come to the attention of Premier League clubs in the process.
Tottenham really like the highly-rated centre-back and discussions have taken place regarding a transfer but there is no official agreement between the clubs at present. After making 36 appearances in all competitions for Wolfsburg last campaign, Van de Ven wore the captain's armband for Netherlands at the ongoing UEFA European Under-21 Championship but he could not stop them from exiting at the group stage following three draws.
Always going to be on the lookout for a left-sided centre-back this summer to ensure that Tottenham have balance in such a key area of the pitch, the exciting prospect ticks a number of boxes for Postecoglou. Not only a very impressive defender, the Wormer-born player is excellent on the ball and has the passing qualities and ability to bring the ball out from the back that is required to make him a huge success in the Australian's team.
Tottenham pre-season schedule in full
It will not be long at all until Ange Postecoglou's Tottenham team take to the pitch for the very first time following his appointment as head coach. Signing a four-year deal in north London at the beginning of last month, the Australian is now working with a chunk of his players at Hotspur Way.
The numbers will soon increase once Tottenham's international players have returned from their summer break, with the team then flying off to Australia at the end of next week. Having three matches on the agenda during their tour of Australia and Asia, Spurs' final friendly comes on home soil a week before the season starts.
A summer of change at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and the start of a new era, it promises to be a very interesting summer for all concerned. So what exactly does Tottenham's pre-season schedule look like? football.london takes a look.
