Here is your Tottenham Hotspur morning digest for Friday, August 12.
Destiny Udogie details
There are three weeks left of a summer transfer window that is set to soon bring its seventh new signing for Tottenham Hotspur and there could be more to come.
Spurs have brought Ivan Perisic, Fraser Forster, Yves Bissouma, Richarlison, Clement Lenglet and Djed Spence through the doors at Hotspur Way in a busy summer of strengthening. Antonio Conte's squad will look to compete in all competitions this season as the club returns to the Champions League.
Tottenham are set to sign Udinese's Destiny Udogie next week before loaning the left wing-back back to the Serie A side. On the whole now they are currently focused on getting players out of the door with some expensive former signings having been told they are not in Conte's plans, in the shape of Tanguy Ndombele, Giovani Lo Celso, Sergio Reguilon as well as a homegrown academy product in midfielder Harry Winks.

Nicolo Zaniolo problem
Thomas Tuchel looks set to stifle Antonio Conte's perfect summer transfer window as Chelsea plot a move for Tottenham Hotspur target Nicolo Zaniolo. The 23-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to the Lilywhites amid an increasingly uncertain future at Roma, but the Blues look ready to swoop in and hijack a deal.
Zaniolo, who sees his contract at the Stadio Olimpico expire in 2024, featured 28 times for Jose Mourinho's side in the Serie A last season, directly contributing towards seven goals. Despite two serious cruciate injuries, the midfielder's impressive displays guided the Italian giants to a top-six finish and Europa Conference League glory, courting the interest of several top-flight sides.
According to Calcio Mercato Web, Spurs have had a £46.4million bid rejected by Roma for Zaniolo. With the north Londoners licking their wounds, the report adds that Chelsea are armed and ready to spoil their rival's lasting deal before the summer market slams shut at the start of next month.
Club reveals 2022/23 third kit
On Thursday, Spurs launched their third kit, which will be used this season as Antonio Conte's side returns to the Champions League for the first time since 2019/20.
The kit, which is a two-tone blue kit with zig-zagging stripes all over was teased to fans on social media yesterday by rapper and Spurs fan AJ Tracey. The musician posted videos to his TikTok and Instagram accounts on Wednesday night before the club officially revealed the kit at 9am with a promotional video featuring the slogan 'Dare to do different'.
The kit is available via the official Tottenham Hotspur store as well as through manufacturer Nike and is priced at £75 for adults. The release comes ahead of Spurs' Champions League appearances which begin next month, with the draw taking place later this month.
