Fabio Paratici eyes defensive target
Tottenham director of football Fabio Paratici has reportedly identified his new top transfer priority as Spurs look to strengthen their backline this summer.
The club have previously been linked with Pau Torres and Sven Botman but according to MailOnline, they are now focusing on bringing in RB Leipzig's Josko Gvardiol.
With Leipzig valuing the 20-year-old at £50 million, it will make a significant outlay from Spurs as Antonio Conte continues to try and mould his squad in order to compete at the top of the Premier League.
Sergio Reguilon update given
Sergio Reguilon has struggled since returning to the Tottenham first-team in recent weeks and Conte has now revealed that he has struggled following a bout of COVID.
"He had Covid, I think he had a bit of a problem to recover from this," Conte told football.london.
"But Sergio knows very well he has to fight to play, because also there is at this moment Sessegnon, that is playing regularly, he is having good performances.
"There are four players. And every game I try to decide for the best for the team, to make the best decision. There are not players stable to play every game, I can play Sessegnon, I can play Reguilon, I can play Doherty, I can play Emerson, it depends on the training session."
Antonio Conte delivers injury update
Conte has given a fitness update ahead of the clash with Everton on Monday night.
"Yeah, Bentancur is available. The same for Lucas Moura. For Skipp and Tanganga, they’re still not available. We have to wait," said the head coach in his pre-match press conference.
“Oliver Skipp… it is a pity I think in England that sometimes you should have a conference with the medical department.
"He’s not ready, he’s having this problem with groin pain, and is fighting and he could recover before but maybe something was wrong, and now we have to wait."
