Tottenham news: Dejan Kulusevski 'wants more' at Spurs as Harry Kane accused of 'disrespect'

Here is your Tottenham morning digest on Tuesday, February 22.

Kulusevski 'wants more' at Spurs

Dejan Kulusevski has revealed he "wants more" at Tottenham after he starred in Spurs' dramatic 3-2 victory over Manchester City on Saturday evening.

The Sweden international, who was signed by the north Londoners on transfer deadline day last month, opened the scoring at the Etihad Stadium and after tasting what success feels like at Tottenham - he now wants more.

Speaking to Spurs' official website, Kulusevski said: "It was fantastic. It shows that hard work pays off and after this feeling, you want more.

"You want to be back out there tomorrow, you want to work even harder because it is a wonderful feeling."

Dier reveals Conte game plan

Eric Dier has revealed the Antonio Conte game plan that inspired Tottenham to victory over Manchester City at the weekend.

While City had plenty of possession on Saturday, Spurs were able to hit the league leaders on the counter-attack on several occasions and in devastating fashion.

Dier has now opened up on Conte's plan, saying: "They [Man City] are always going to create chances and I think it's about trying to limit them as much as possible.

"I think when we had the ball the most important thing was that we always tried to play out every time from Hugo [Lloris] or even when we recovered the ball.

"We had a clear idea of how we wanted to hurt them and I think we executed that really well."

Kane accused of 'disrespecting' Spurs

Stan Collymore believes Harry Kane showed some "disrespect" to Tottenham after his performance against Manchester City on Saturday evening.

Kane scored twice, including the winning goal in stoppage time, and also played a huge part in Kulusevski's opener at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday evening.

Following his up and down form this season, Collymore thinks that the England captain has disrespected Spurs by performing really well against Man City, the club who were interested in signing him last summer.

Collymore, when writing in his column for the Mirror, said: ""On Saturday we saw Harry finding the edge to be so good that Pep can’t ignore him next summer.

"But if it’s Kane or Haaland, they’ll sign Haaland and they’ll be future proofed by it. There is no way he should be 16th top scorer in the Prem.

"He would only be worth £70million this summer, and it won’t be financial restrictions that stop it. City need a striker, but it all depends on whether they can get Haaland. The next phase for City probably means looking to the next generation.

"That performance against City, brilliant though it was, showed a disrespect to Spurs for his levels in other games this season."
