Tottenham news: Bayern submit second Harry Kane transfer offer as Micky van de Ven deal stalls

Your morning Tottenham Hotspur digest on Monday, July 10.

Bayern Munich submit improved Harry Kane bid as Tottenham transfer stance revealed

Bayern Munich have submitted an improved offer for Tottenham striker Harry Kane after their first bid was rejected. Thomas Tuchel is keen on signing the England captain with the German outfit having launched a £60million plus add-ons offer at the end of June.

Daniel Levy does not want to lose Kane this summer but Bayern are pushing to test Spurs' nerve as the German giants look to sign a new striker. football.london understands Tottenham are still making it very clear that they would immediately reject a bid for Kane should they receive one.

According to Sky Sports Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg, Bayern have now made a second bid to sign the 29-year-old with an offer of €80million (£68m) plus add-ons. The likelihood is that Tottenham will swiftly reject the German outfit's proposal once again unless they receive a record-breaking bid.

Plettenberg added that Kane 'definitely' wants to join Bayern and play under Tuchel in the Bundesliga. Kane’s contract negotiations with Tottenham were put on hold last season, with the striker instead focusing on trying to help the club return to the Champions League.

Richarlison reveals why Antonio Conte shouted at him for two hours during Tottenham team meeting

Tottenham Hotspur forward Richarlison has revealed that Antonio Conte told him off for two hours during a team meeting.

Richarlison joined Spurs during last summer's transfer window, signing from Everton for a fee in the region of £60million. However, his debut campaign in north London didn't exactly go to plan, suffering a number of injury concerns whilst also struggling for form.

In fact, the Brazilian international netted just one Premier League goal all season, infamously criticising Conte for not playing him enough after the north Londoners were eliminated from the UEFA Champions League by AC Milan back in March. The veteran coach then came out and labelled the 26-year-old selfish - something the player has now admitted he regrets.

Speaking about the incident with Conte to the Que Papinho podcast, the former Watford frontman said: "Of course I made a fool of myself by saying in the interview that I needed time and everything else, it was after the elimination in the Champions League, but then I apologised to him. I even told him that if he wanted to punish me, he could."

Tottenham to miss out on Micky van de Ven transfer as Wolfsburg increase price

Tottenham could be poised to miss out on the signing of Wolfsburg centre-back Micky van de Ven this summer. According to The Mirror, Spurs were ready to pay £30million for Van de Ven as Ange Postecoglou looked to bolster his defensive options.

Dutch journalist Mike Verweij has confirmed that the player has reached an agreement on personal terms with Tottenham and he will sign a contract with the club until the summer of 2028. However, Wolfsburger Allgemeine have reported that the German outfit have now raised the defender's price to £40million causing the move to stall.

Van de Ven, who made 41 appearances for Wolfsburg in all competitions, would reportedly welcome the chance to join Tottenham in order to realise his dream of playing in the Premier League. However, his current employers are said to have made it clear that he will be going nowhere unless Spurs or any other club decide to pay his asking price in full.
