Spurs close in on Lenglet swoop
Tottenham are closing in on the signing of Barcelona defender Clement Lenglet on a season-long loan deal. Antonio Conte's side, who have been in discussions with the Spanish giants over the French international, hope the defender will complete a medical in the next 24 hours and sign ahead of the pre-season tour of South Korea on Saturday.
Fabio Paratici did try and lure the French international to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on loan 12 months ago but unfortunately, a deal never came to fruition. Lenglet, who has made 15 appearances for his country since making his international debut in June 2019, will give Conte options across the backline.

Leicester City eye Winks as Tielemans replacement
Arsenal have emerged as favourites to sign Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans, igniting a knock-on effect at White Hart Lane. Speaking to the podcast Last Word on Spurs, Sami Mokbel said, "I definitely know that there are other Premier League clubs interested in Harry Winks, one certainly being Leicester.
"I think Leicester have certainly got a keen interest in Harry Winks. He's a Brendan Rodgers-type of player. He's comfortable on the ball, comfortable in possession, and can find a pass. So if the price is right and the deal is right, I think that deal will have legs and could have legs moving forward for sure."
Conte finds Bergwijn replacement
Tottenham look close to completing a deal for their second outgoing of the summer, as Steven Bergwijn looks set to make a return to the Netherlands to join Ajax. football.london reported on Wednesday that a £27.8million fee had been agreed between the two clubs and the Dutch international was pictured outside Amsterdam UMC hospital, ahead of his medical.
Memphis Depay has since emerged as a likely replacement for his fellow countryman. The Barcelona forward was previously linked with a move to N17 and links are resurfacing this summer. According to Spanish news outlet Sport, Tottenham made an enquiry for the 28-year-old and the Spanish side could let Depay leave if they receive a £17million offer.
