Spurs 'determined' to land Lille defender
Tottenham are desperate to beat Newcastle United to the signing of Lille defender Sven Botman, according to the Daily Star.
The 22-year-old was heavily linked with a move to St James’ Park in January, though a transfer never materialised.
The Magpies are said to be looking to make the move again in the summer, but they could face Spurs in a challenge to do so.
The Lilywhites are said to be eager to sign Botman to appease head coach Antonio Conte, who has recently questioned whether he was the right man for the job.
The move would also fit into Spurs’ transfer policy of signing young, up and coming players for the future.
Harry Kane and Son Heung-min's record
Harry Kane and Son Heung-min broke the record for the most goals scored by a duo on Saturday, assisting and scoring for each other a total of 37 times in the Premier League.
Son’s late strike, latching on the end of a Kane ball over the top, made sure they went to top of the rankings, ahead of Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba.
The England captain went on to explain the reason why they work so well as a pair, while also focusing on the importance of all three points at Elland Road.
