Bryan Gil has landed in Spain ahead of his loan move to former club Sevilla. Joining Tottenham from the La Liga side in July 2021, the talented winger has had to make do with limited minutes ever since his move to the north London club.
Departing last January to join Valencia on loan, Gil returned to Tottenham in the summer after wowing for Los Che as they reached the final of the Copa del Rey. Opportunities in a Tottenham shirt have come the Spaniard's way in 2022/23, although they have been extremely few and far between under Antonio Conte.
Catching the eye at the turn of the year in the team's wins over Crystal Palace and Portsmouth, it did appear that the 21-year-old would be remaining at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium beyond the January transfer deadline. However, the loan signing of Arnaut Danjuma has bumped the player down the pecking order once again and the club have now given the green light for him to depart.

Arriving at San Pablo Airport in Seville on Monday afternoon, Gil will now put pen-to-paper on a loan deal until the end of the campaign with his former club once he has completed a medical. Sevilla's sporting director, Monchi, was at the airport to greet their new signing after he touched down after flying in from London.
Speaking on Friday, Sevilla boss Jorge Sampaoli discussed the potential arrival of Gil when speaking to the media. The Tottenham man is a player the Argentine boss knows very well after trying to sign him for Marseille 12 months ago.
"Bryan Gil enters my profile because I called him personally last year in Marseille," admitted the boss, as reported by Spanish publication AS. "He seems to me a player who would give us things on the wing, but they are situations that, from wanting to real possibility, I no longer participate.
"[Jeff] Reine-Adelaide seemed to me that he had a lot of potential and then his condition do not concern me. I'm not the one to evaluate that."
Gil could potentially make his second debut for Sevilla on Sunday when they travel to the Camp Nou to take on Barcelona.
