Tottenham make three transfer decisions after January window with more departures announced

Tottenham have seen another three players make the move away from north London after the closing of the January transfer window.

Spurs already saw the departures of Kion Etete, Nile John, Jack Clarke and Dilan Markanday from the Spurs academy, with the latter being the only permanent move.

Deadline day also saw the Lilywhites do some business amongst the first team with Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur being the only two arrivals whilst Bryan Gil, Giovani Lo Celso and Tanguy Ndombele all went out on loan and Dele Alli made the permanent move to Everton.

Now Alfie Whiteman, Michael Craig and Kacper Kurylowicz have also now made an exit away from the N17.

On Thursday Tottenham revealed that development squad goalkeeper Kurylowicz has joined Potters Bar Town on loan for the rest of the season but he will be able to play for the Isthmian League side and the Spurs Under-23s as well as continuing to train full time with the academy team at Hotspur Way.

They also explained that another academy player in Michael Craig has left the club after an agreement was made to release the midfielder from his contract.

"Michael joined our Academy at Under-13 level and progressed to our Development Squad, also making two appearances in our first team squad as an unused substitute in the UEFA Europa Conference League earlier this season," Spurs explained.

"We wish Michael well for the next stage of his career."

The other announcement made was that Whiteman has re-joined Degerfors IF on loan for the duration of the 2022 Swedish Allsvenskan season.

The 23-year-old has been part of the Tottenham academy since his youth and made the move to the Swedish side for the latter part of their last season and helped them remain in the Allsvenskan.

Whiteman made 13 appearances before returning to N17 in December, but is now back on his way to Degerfors for the start of their 2022 season in April.

Tottenham also have the option to recall Whiteman and he has explained his excitement of his return.

"It feels great to be back," he said. "I'm really looking forward to the Allsvenskan season.

"I have been following the team since I left and I look forward to meeting the gang.

"With last year's experience behind us and what we learned, I think we can do really well this year," he added.

Degerfors finished 13th and just two points off the bottom three last year and Whiteman explained he will join the squad next week, after his holiday in New York.

"I have received so much love and support from the fans, which I appreciated very much," he said. "Like I said when I was last here, the culture around the club and the fans is fantastic."

Whiteman has also received praise from Patrik Werner, the Sports director at the Swedish club.

"It's very nice to get him back" Werner admitted. "Alfie is a very good goalkeeper and a fantastic person. We are very happy to be able to solve this again with him and Tottenham."
