Tottenham have made a "massive" new contract offer to star striker Harry Kane amid uncertainty surrounding his future at the club. The 29-year-old is Spurs' all-time record goal scorer and is off the back of scoring 30-goals in a Premier League season, but only has one-year remaining on his current deal.
While Kane keeps seeing records tumble around him, the reality that will always be brought up surrounds a lack of trophies to his name. There will naturally be questions surrounding with Tottenham are best placed to deliver those before the end of his career, if he were to sign an extension.
That's naturally led to plenty of links with other clubs, who will be keen to land themselves a world class centre-forward in an age where there are so few. Manchester City made their move a few years ago, but ultimately could not agree a fee with chairman Daniel Levy and held out to land Erling Haaland instead.
There was some relative silence on any other interest until this summer, with one-year left on his deal, plenty of teams have monitored a switch for Kane. Manchester United have been one of the main candidates, with their need to land a striker after a season of getting by with few options.
They have seemingly dropped out for now, but could enter the frame again this summer or for the summer after if they are eyeing a free transfer. Bayern Munich have been the latest team to make a push, having a £60million bid turned down, but recent reports state there have been meetings with the player's camp over a switch.

Real Madrid are another, having recently lost Karim Benzema, while PSG are also an option as they look to rebuild their frontline in the wake of losing Lionel Messi and potentially losing Kylian Mbappe. Chelsea are also touted with a shock switch, with former Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino making the move there, where goal scoring issues have been a common theme.
Kane played some of his best football under the Argentinian coach and his recent commission of a house to be built near Cobham has also stirred rumours over a switch. Then, amongst all of this, there's the option to stick with Tottenham and potentially seal a legacy with the club.
Spurs are upholding their end of the bargain at the very least by making an effort to keep the striker as the Guardian reports that a "massive" contract offer has been tabled. The striker's current £200,000-per-week deal is said to be significantly improved on the offered terms.
The club-record scorer has no intentions of signing the deal at this current moment in time, but that's not to say that won't be an option in the future. Levy has also set a not for sale stance, meaning that this next year could be make or break in keeping the striker or losing him on a free.
