Tottenham are in talks to sign sign Barcelona centre-half Clément Lenglet on loan as the Lilywhites' Alessandro Bastoni and Josko Gvardiol fates are sealed, football.london understands.
The north Londoners have already made a quick start to this summer's transfer window with Ivan Perisic, Fraser Forster and Yves Bissouma signing on the dotted line for Antonio Conte's side but there is certainly a lot more to come. Amid all the uncertainty surrounding the future of Middlesbrough star Died Spence, all focus has seemingly shifted towards other areas of the pitch, with Everton's Richarlison expected to be the next through the doors as a deal totalling £60million for the Brazilian was agreed late on Wednesday night.
Medical checks will be done on Thursday in Brazil before the deal is officially announced. Spurs were able to take advantage of an Everton side who had to sell their talismanic figure before July begun due to Financial Fair Play (FFP) issues at Goodison Park.

Another club that Spurs are wanting to deal with are Barcelona and their centre-half Clément Lenglet. It is common knowledge now that the La Liga giants are undergoing huge financial changes which has seen economic levers being voted for by the large majority of the board at the Camp Nou, including president Joan Laporta.
In order for Xavi to get on with his own transfer business, which will include registering Andreas Christensen, Franck Kessie, Ousmane Dembele and others, as well as trying to seal deals for Robert Lewandowski, they need to make significant funds in player sales and remove money from the wage bill in order for their own rebuild to be done. Consequently, Lenglet has come on the agenda for Tottenham as they look to move on from the disappointments suffered early in this market with the respective Alessandro Bastoni and Josko Gvardiol blows.
football.london's Chief Spurs correspondent Alasdair Gold wrote in his latest piece: 'One such potential deal is Barcelona's 27-year-old centre-back Clement Lenglet, who turned down a loan move to Tottenham to link up with Paratici last summer. Spurs are in discussions over another loan attempt for the Frenchman, who can play on the left and centre of the back three, and if the north London club cannot secure their top targets for the role, which looks likely after being unable to prise away Inter's Alessandro Bastoni and RB Leipzig's Josko Gvardiol, then they will push through a deal for Lenglet.
'With Joe Rodon expected to move on this summer in search of regular football and Japhet Tanganga the subject of interest for a number of clubs, Spurs are expected to then look to at other potential centre-back deals to bring similar strength to the backline as Richarlison will bring to the attacking trident.'
The 27-year-old isn't the only one expected to be shown the exit door by the powers that be at Barcelona. Frenkie de Jong's £56m move to Man United should be confirmed soon, whilst Dembele's unwillingness to reduce his wage demands means that he could become an option for Chelsea and Thomas Tuchel to seriously consider.
As for Tottenham, the loan signing of Lenglet could be followed up by one or two more, with Rodon and Tanganga's futures uncertain. Could Villarreal's Pau Torres come back into the question or even Gleison Bremer?
The Torino man has been quoted saying: "Where am I going to play? I'm talking about it with my agent and at the moment there is nothing definite. We are talking. I don't know if I'll stay in Italy or go abroad. I want the Champions League to grow."
