Kylian Mbappe 'impossible' Tottenham transfer explained as Arsenal 'real option' for PSG star

Kylian Mbappe's future at Paris Saint-Germain is uncertain once again. The 23-year-old was widely tipped to join Real Madrid in the summer transfer window but shocked the footballing world by signing a new contract at PSG.

Now, according to Marca, the sought-after winger wants to leave the French capital in January due to the relationship between player and club being 'completely broken'. Mbappe, widely regarded as one of the best players on the planet, has long been linked with a move to the Bernabeu, but the report states the Frenchman no longer wants to move to Los Blancos.

Liverpool, who have enquired about Mbappe previously, could be a possible destination for the attacker, Marca reports. Of course, Mbappe has been linked to a number of Premier League clubs, with the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea interested in signing him, with the pair among the few who could afford to pay his wages.

But there have also been connections with the north London duo Arsenal and Tottenham. Spurs fan and Spider-Man actor Tom Holland previously asked the France superstar to join Tottenham when they met at an event, which prompted a savage response from Mbappe.

Holland said: "He was really friendly, so I said, 'mate, you have to come to Tottenham,' and he just burst out laughing!" "No, impossible, that's impossible," replied Mbappe.

And Mbappe could have joined Arsenal in 2017. He confirmed that was an option when speaking in 2018 and stated it was his desire to be managed by the legendary Frenchman.

"I met with Arsene Wenger, who is a great coach. He has a great reputation here in France. He's well-respected and knows how to develop young players. This was a real option for me," he admitted.

"I dream of being managed by Arsene Wenger. He is French, he's had a great career, and now he is free because he has left Arsenal. We weighed up the advantages and disadvantages of all the clubs, but my family told me it had to be my decision and one I needed to make."
