Tottenham: Harry Kane not interested in PSG as Bayern Munich prepare third bid

Harry Kane would reject an approach from Paris Saint-Germain this summer, leaving Tottenham facing a straight fight with Bayern Munich to keep their talisman.

Kane this morning captained Spurs, as the Ange Postecoglou era got under way with a friendly against West Ham at the Optus Stadium.

Bayern have already had two bids for Kane rejected by Spurs this summer, the latest understood to be worth about £70million plus add-ons, but the England skipper is attracted by the prospect of joining the Bundesliga champions.

PSG have also emerged as suitors for the striker in recent days, although he has no interest in joining the Ligue 1 side and would turn down any offer.

Spurs are adamant that Kane will not be sold to a Premier League rival, despite entering the final 12 months of his contract, and his refusal to consider PSG decreases the chances of a bidding war driving up his price.

Kane is keeping an open mind about his future and could leave this summer, depart Spurs on a free transfer in a year's time or sign a new contract next season.

Asked about Kane's position yesterday, Postecoglou said: “He's here, and while he's here, he's totally committed to what we're doing, and that's the way I've seen things.

“No one has spoken to me from Munich. If other clubs want to talk about our contracted players, that's more of an issue for them than us.

“We've got nearly a month until the season starts, the transfer window's still open, so we'll see what transpires."
