Tottenham get massive backing ahead of UEFA Champions League draw as Man City tipped to triumph

Just over three years on from reaching the Champions League final, Tottenham fans will be praying that the team can go one step further this time around. Putting together a stunning run of form to see them progress through the group stage before defeating Borussia Dortmund, Man City and Ajax in the knockout phase, unfortunately it was Liverpool who came out on top in the final with a 2-0 victory in Madrid.

While Spurs' last Champions League campaign did end in disappointment as RB Leipzig defeated them over two legs in the Round of 16 in March 2020, the 2022/23 campaign hands them a new opportunity to go far in the competition. Last winning a trophy back in 2008, many are predicting that Tottenham's silverware drought will end this season with Antonio Conte now at the helm.

A proven winner in the game both as a player and manager, the Italian produced heroics in the final few months of last term to secure a top-four finish for his side. Hitting a new level under the 53-year-old and tipped to challenge towards the top of the Premier League, there clearly is a belief with some people that he can guide the Lilywhites to Champions League success in June 2023.

Tottenham's aspirations in the competition will all depend on how far they fare in the group stage, with the draw taking place this evening in Istanbul, Turkey. Spurs are one of the eight teams in Pot 2 and they will discover their fate when the draw commences at 5pm.
