Antonio Conte was handed a £150m war chest at the start of the summer to make Tottenham competitive at the top of the Premier League again, the club have made a clutch of acquisitions.
They have been on the front foot when it comes to bringing in new players this summer with deals struck for Ivan Perisic, Fraser Forster, Yves Bissouma, Richarlison, Clement Lenglet and Djed Spence.
However, Conte does not look to be done just yet as he gets a squad capable of making a decent fist of the Champions League as well as staying competitive in the Premier League in the 2022-23 season. Mirror Sport has rounded up the latest Spurs transfer news, rumours and gossip.
New Zaniolo discussions
Conte may have spent a fortune already this summer, but he’s still ready to shell out more. Long-term target Nicolo Zaniolo is lined up for fresh talks this week with the hope of clinching a deal before the Premier League season kicks off. Foot Mercato reckon Roma’s 23-year-old playmaker could fly in for fresh talks over a £40m-plus switch to North London. But any move for Zaniolo comes with a warning that there’s a possibility of fireworks with the Italian international.
One of the key reasons Roma want rid of Zaniolo this summer is mainly due to his off-the-field problems that have resulted in the winger falling out with boss Jose Mourinho. The fact that he’s at loggerheads with the unpredictable Mourinho won’t surprise too many people but could he be straight out of the frying pan and into the fire by linking up with Conte? The Spurs boss is infamously headstrong and not averse to an argy-bargy with players who cross him, so any deal for Zaniola promises to be at the very least, interesting.

Ghana star targeted
Another being linked with Spurs is Ajax midfielder Mohammed Kudus, twice a title winner with the Dutch outfit. Ghana Web reports that Spurs have been tracking the Ghana international for a number of months.
All very interesting, but with Spurs having already splashed out in excess of £100m, surely Daniel Levy will be suffering hypertension if there’s not a halt called. Conte is still being linked with Wolves ’ defender Max Kilman. The 25-year-old has caught the eye since establishing himself in the first team. But Spurs won’t get a free run at the £17m rated star with London rivals Chelsea also reported to be in the hunt.
Traore option
Spurs will reignite their interest in Wolves' Adama Traore if they fail to land Zaniolo. According to talkSPORT the 26-year-old Spaniard's versatility to work in the right wing-back role is what appeals to Conte. Traore is potentially available for as little as £10m which could persuade Conte to gamble on the player who has the potential to be a useful option from the bench.
