Tottenham double departure tipped ahead of Nottingham Forest clash

Pundit Ally McCoist believes that Antonio Conte and Harry Kane could leave Tottenham this summer as they prepare to face Nottingham Forest this weekend.

Kane has long been linked with a transfer away in order to increase his chances of winning a trophy before his career. Conte was touted as the man to end the club's 15-year wait for a trophy, but this season they have been eliminated from the EFL Cup and FA Cup, while they are 18 points off Premier League leaders Arsenal and are 1-0 down in their two-legged tie with AC Milan in the Uefa Champions League.

Despite being linked with moves to Manchester City and Manchester United in the past, Kane has remained with his boyhood club, where he came through the academy ranks. The England international only has two years left on his current contract, which will no doubt add to the speculation surrounding his future.

Speaking to talkSPORT, McCoist outlined his belief that the player and his manager could be on the way out. "Right now, and it's guesswork from me, but I think they'll be looking for a new manager and a new centre forward," the Rangers legend said.

"If I'm putting myself in Harry Kane's shoes at this moment I'm probably thinking about going to the team that got beat seven-nothing yesterday. There's a statement for you! Think about that (laughs). But he's got to think about himself now, Harry.

"I'm not even a Spurs fan and they frustrate me. I look at the team and their talent and I think 'great'. And on their day - particularly against Man City, I don't know why they save their best performances for them but they do - they look capable of beating anybody. Then they throw in a result against Sheffield United, throw in a result at Wolves, concede four at Leicester.

"If I was a betting man, I would think that Spurs, at some point in the summer, might be looking for a new manager and a new centre-forward."

Forest travel to north London to take on Tottenham this Saturday, with kick-off set for 3pm. The Lilywhites were 2-0 victors when the two sides met at the City Ground earlier this season.
