Tottenham: Dejan Kulusevski reveals Ange Postecoglou message amid demand for more

Dejan Kulusevski says he and his team-mates need to do more after failing to beat Rangers on Thursday.

Spurs have won just won in seven games heading into the game and toiled against the Scottish giants, in what was dubbed a ‘Battle of Britain’, before going behind within two minutes of the second half through Hamza Igamane.

Postecoglou reacted by bringing on Kulusevski, Lucas Bergvall and Papa Sarr, and the game turned in Spurs’ favour and the Swede eventually equalised.

Kulusevski, one of Spurs’ standout players this season, has confirmed that Postecoglou told him before being introduced and has demanded more from himself and his team-mates against Southampton at the weekend.

"We didn't play good enough to win the game,” Kulusevski told TNT Sports. “Rangers did a perfect game, with the stadium. It's a beautiful stadium. Fans is helping them a lot. And, yeah, we missed a little bit in the first half. Second half was a little bit better, but we move on to Sunday.

"[Ange Postecoglou told me] just to change something, to make something happen. And I succeeded once, but it was not enough to win ... It's always important to score.

"But we gotta keep we gotta start winning games. Now we haven't won in a couple of weeks, so it's it's time to win on Sunday ... Everybody needs to do a little bit more than we're doing right now."
