Tottenham could be handed £39m boost to help secure Richarlison transfer for Antonio Conte

It has been a good start to an expected busy transfer window for Tottenham. Antonio Conte wants at least six new arrivals this summer and technically, Spurs are halfway there.

Ivan Perisic, Fraser Forster and Yves Bissouma are the trio who have already made the move to the capital and there could be plenty more to come. The likes of Christian Eriksen, Richarlison and Stefan de Vrij have all been linked with moves to Tottenham.

Spurs did receive a £150million investment from ENIC, which was announced last month. This will hand the Lilywhites a major boost in having money to bring in the players who can really strengthen Conte's squad.

However, as well as money from ENIC that Tottenham will have, they are also likely to raise money from outgoings this summer. Just as important as the Italian getting new players who can help build his squad, is moving players on who aren't in his plans.

Last season there were a number of players who were regularly on the bench, either not getting game time or not impressing enough when they were given an opportunity. This was a disadvantage for Conte, who was struggling with the lack of quality in the depth of his squad.

It meant rotation wasn't confidently possible, unlike what was seen with the likes of Liverpool and those higher up the table. Therefore bringing in more quality in the depth of the Tottenham team will allow changes to be made, which will be necessary next season, with the amount of matches Spurs are set to play.

Outgoings this summer are likely to be seen from those who aren't in Conte's plans and those who want more regular game time, especially with the World Cup approaching. Two players who seem the most likely to head out the door, are Harry Winks and Steven Bergwijn.

Both players have expressed a desire to move on. Winks hinted at it last year, when he opened up on his lack of time on the pitch, saying: "Listen, I love Tottenham, I’ve always made that clear, but I want to play football. And I want to play regular football. The only way to play your best football, get momentum is when you’re playing regularly."

Although this wasn't a direct hint, looking back it seems that there is only one option if he isn't getting what he wants. Bergwijn's admission was a lot more direct and came earlier this month. "I just have to go play, but I want to leave Spurs now, that's for sure," he said. There have already been heavily links associated with both players.

Winks seems currently most likely to move to Everton, where he would be reunited with Dele Alli, who made the move north in January. The Dutch international seems close to making a return to Ajax, with Bergwijn linked with a move back to the Nertherlands during the winter window.

According to their market values from CIES, selling both players could earn Tottenham up to £38.6million. This is from just two outgoings and there is likely to be at least a few more, which will only add to this amount.

Any money raised can then go towards buying more players. One player who has been heavily linked with a move to N17 is Richarlison. Spurs could be handed even more of a boost as the Brazilian could be involved in a swap deal for Winks, if all parties agreed.

Fabio Paratici is a big admirer of the 25-year-old, but a move won't come without competition, with Thomas Tuchel also believed to be a fan. The forward is valued up to £60million, according to CIES, so the money raised from selling the Tottenham duo isn't likely to quite be enough.

However, it would provide Spurs with more than half of the funds needed and more could be added with other outgoings. A lot of business still to be done and a lot of money to come in and out of the club, to provide Conte with the strongest possible squad for a hopefully successful 2022/23 campaign.
