Antonio Conte has made six changes to his Tottenham team for this evening's Champions League clash against Sporting CP. Following back-to-back defeats in the Premier League, all will be hoping that a change of competition can see Spurs return to winning ways.
Three points against their Portuguese counterparts and Conte's men will seal their passage through to the knockout phase of Europe's premier competition. Anything other than a win and Spurs' Champions League aspirations will go down to the final group fixture away at Marseille next Tuesday.
After the 2-1 home defeat against Newcastle United on Sunday afternoon, Matt Doherty, Ben Davies, Ivan Perisic and Lucas Moura come into the side in place of Emerson Royal, Clement Lenglet, Ryan Sessegnon and Oliver Skipp. Cristian Romero and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, who both missed out at the weekend through injury, also return to the XI, taking the place of Davinson Sanchez and Yves Bissouma in the process.

"I think it’s important, it’s important for everybody, important for the club, important for the fans, for the players and for me," he said. "We are talking about a big, big competition in the world, in Europe, and for this reason we have a great desire, a great will to go to the next round. Especially because we want to show we deserve to stay in this competition and to fight in this competition."
