Tottenham will pay tribute to Gian Piero Ventrone ahead of Saturday's Premier League match against Brighton & Hove Albion. On Thursday morning the club confirmed in an official statement that the fitness coach had sadly passed away at the age of 61.
An incredibly sad day for all connected with the club, the love and respect for the renowned fitness coach from all at Tottenham was clear to see with players and staff members all paying tribute to him. The tributes will continue at the Amex on Saturday evening with the Tottenham squad warming up in t-shirts that pay respect to the experienced coach.
Both sides will also wear black armbands as a mark of respect, while there will also be a minute's applause ahead of the 5.30pm kick-off. Spurs have also announced that they will look to further honour Ventrone ahead of Wednesday night's Champions League fixture against Eintracht Frankfurt at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

"Following yesterday's sad news, we can confirm that we shall pay our respects to Gian Piero Ventrone at Saturday's Premier League fixture against Brighton & Hove Albion at the Amex Stadium," read a statement on the club's official website.
"Our squad will warm up in t-shirts that pay tribute to our late fitness coach, while players on both sides will wear black armbands as a mark of respect. There will also be a minute's applause ahead of the 5.30pm kick-off.
"We shall look to further honour Gian Piero at Wednesday night's UEFA Champions League fixture against Eintracht Frankfurt at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, our first home match since his passing.
"Our thoughts continue to be with his family and friends at this sad time."
