Tottenham assistant manager Cristian Stellini says the club are “confident” of having some of their key players available for next week’s huge north London derby with Arsenal.
Spurs progressed into the FA Cup fourth-round by beating Portsmouth 1-0 on Saturday thanks to Harry Kane’s goal early in the second-half.
The England captain is now a single goal off equalling Jimmy Greaves’ all-time record of 266 and continues his lethal form heading into the visit of the Gunners.
Still, Antonio Conte’s side have been dealing with a number of injuries of late, particularly in attacking areas.
Dejan Kulusevski, Rodrigo Bentancur and Richarlison have all missed action over the last few weeks, while Yves Bissouma was forced out of the starting lineup against Portsmouth following an injury picked up in the warm-up.
Speaking after the win, Stellini said: “Not for all the players we are so confident but we are confident we’ll recover someone.”
Of Bissouma, the Italian added: “The injury came from the last match. An ankle problem. He tried to push himself but he was not 100%. It’s very good when the player tells us they are not 100% as Skippy was and he played well.
“He will [be fit for Arsenal].”
