Tottenham have confirmed their seventh signing of the summer after Destiny Udogie agreed to join the club.
An initial £15million will be paid to Udinese for the teenage wing-back after he agreed personal terms and flew into London on Sunday evening, spending the night at Hotspur Way ahead of his tests.
The Italy youth international has signed a five-year deal, but will spend the first season back in Udine before linking up with the Spurs squad in 2023.
Udogie, 19, follows Richarlison, Yves Bissouma, Ivan Perisic, Djed Spence, Clement Lenglet and Fraser Forster in signing for Tottenham this summer after Antonio Conte secured a return to the Champions League.
The Spurs coach personally recommended the signing after being impressed by his displays for Hellas Verona and Udinese.
The deal is similar to the one that saw Pape Matar Sarr join Tottenham last summer before being immediately loaned back to French club Metz for the 2021-22 season.
