Tottenham Accepts Massive Bayern Munich Bid for Harry Kane, per Report

The biggest decision of Harry Kane’s historic career awaits after Tottenham reportedly accepted Bayern Munich’s offer of more than $110 million for the England star, according to ESPN

Now, the longtime Spurs forward must decide whether to see out the final year of his contract in north London or move to the Bundesliga giants with the Premier League season kicking off this weekend.

The 30-year-old forward had previously declined to sign a new contract at Tottenham, which risked watching the club’s all-time top goalscorer leave on a free transfer next summer.

Spurs had been negotiating with Bayern Munich all summer, but the German champions looked set on rescinding its interest after setting a deadline of last Friday. But after its final offer was rejected, Bayern reportedly returned with an improved offer that featured more upfront cash and different add-on fees.

Kane’s interest in leaving the club stems from his desire to win major trophies, having never done so with Spurs. He came closest in 2018–19 when Spurs lost the Champions League final to Liverpool, while the club also finished second in the Premier League in ’16–17.

Long before he became England’s all-time goalscorer, Kane joined the Tottenham academy in 2004. He would then go on to make his senior team debut in ’11 and score 213 Premier League goals across 10 seasons, winning the Golden Boot three times.
